Darrin Johnston has been appointed as Area Sales Manager for the whole of Ireland. Darrin has in-depth experience of the automotive trade as a service manager and also as a supplier.

He has spent the last 14 years in a sales management role for a major Irish commercial vehicle company. His knowledge of the Irish marketplace and the needs of distributors and customers will be invaluable.

Darrin is married with one daughter and lives in County Antrim.

Simon Pomphrey joins the company after 21 years sales experience in the power tools & machinery field. Prior to that Simon spent 14 years as a garage equipment engineer. He takes on responsibility for the South West. An area covering Cornwall, Devon and all points up to Gloucester and east across to Hampshire.

He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in supporting and servicing a wide and varied distributor network. Simon lives in Bristol and is married with two daughters.

The company has selected a compressor, the TS3 / 150 Litre Airmate Compressor (06595), to represent an important part of their core range and to emphasise their long heritage in manufacturing quality industrial equipment. The anniversary product will be given a unique ruby paint job and will be badged with a special limited edition logo.

The Spindle Moulder complements the existing range of professional bandsaws and table saws and continues their long term plan to develop a comprehensive range of ‘heavy duty’ machines suitable for the growing ‘cross-over’ market of those amateur users demanding professional quality equipment.

This range of professional woodworking machines is a major investment for SIP and it is their intention to further develop this important, and perhaps previously neglected, market segment.
